This 8-minute video presents information about the dangers of fireworks and is designed to help reduce the number of accidents they can cause. This award winning video starts off with hospital emergency staff discussing burn injuries and bodily damage that they see each year as a result of firecrackers. Common statements from parents are that "it was just a firecracker."  Video also discusses two stories of children and how their injuries have changed them forever. The video ends by reminding us how enjoyable fireworks can be when safely handled. This video is suitable for schools, youth groups and TV stations, and the level is directed at children aged 9 through 12 years of age.

This award winning video, demonstrating the consequences of playing with firecrackers, was created by Sharron Lyons who received the 2005 Solicitor General’s lifetime achievement award for crime prevention and community safety.
